Monique Akanbi, SHRM-CP, PHR
Monique Akanbi is currently the Human Resources Manager at FBMC Benefits Management Inc. and has over 15 years of HR experience in the public school and private sector in various roles and disciplines.Monique has a degree in Public Administration with a specialization in Human Resources from Barry University, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, and Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification. In addition, Monique is a Team Lead Examiner and Mentor with the Florida Sterling Council Board of Examiners where she visits organizations throughout the state across all industries to assess their leadership system and organizational performance through the Malcolm Baldrige National Performance Excellence model. Monique is a National SHRM member and currently serves on the Big Bend SHRM Chapter Board of Directors, as the current President. Previously, Monique has served as President-elect (2018), HR Tallahassee Conference Chairperson (2017) and Diversity and Inclusion Chairperson (2014-2016). Monique has a passion for service and assisting others in their identification of purpose, potential, & professional development through meaningful connections. She is originally from Miami, Florida but has made Tallahassee her home since 2011.
Lizbeth Murphy, SHRM-CP
Lizbeth Murphy currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region (ELC) where she is responsible for upholding and enhancing the vision of the organization, execution of the organization’s policies and programs, including management and direction of all operating activities with an emphasis on implementing effective, efficient business practices, meeting contractual requirements, developing effective community partnerships, and providing excellent customer service. She has over 14 years of combined experience in the fields of business operations, human resources and leadership.
Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification. In addition, Liz served as the Class President for Leadership Gadsden in 2016.
She has been a member of National SHRM and Big Bend SHRM since 2013 and served as the 2018 and 2019 HR Tallahassee Conference Chair.
Dorislynn White-Padgett, SHRM-CP, PHR
Dorislynn White-Padgett is the Manager of Human Capital and Executive Vice President with Farm Credit of Northwest Florida. She has 28 years of experience in the financial industry with the past 8 years in Human Resources.
Dorislynn obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate from Florida State University in 1998 and her Masters of Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2012. She holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society of Human Resources Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designations and been a member of National SHRM and Big Bend SHRM since 2009. In addition, Dorislynn currently serves as the Education Chair for the Florida Society of Mayflower Descendants.
Lisa Beasley, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
Lisa Beasley is the Business Administrator at The First Baptist Church of Tallahassee. With over 25 years of HR experience Lisa’s responsibilities include HR, Finance, Operations and Facilities. Lisa was previously employed by Rogers, Gunter, Vaughn Insurance for 23 years where she held the position of HR Manager, Property Manager and Network Administrator. Lisa brings a common sense approach to HR coupled with an innate desire to help her employees succeed.
Lisa obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Florida State University, obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2014 and the Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification in 2016. Lisa has been a member of Big Bend SHRM since 2009 and a National SHRM member since 2005. Lisa currently serves as the 2019 Chapter Secretary and served as Treasurer in 2017 and 2018. In addition, Lisa has served on the HR Tallahassee committee in 2016 and 2017.

Leia White, SHRM-CP, PHR
Leia White currently serves as the Director, People & Culture for the League of Southeastern Credit Union & Affiliates. She holds a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and has served in various HR capacities since 2006.
Leia has been a Big Bend SHRM member since 2013 and currently serves as the Diversity and Inclusion Chair. Leia received her SHRM-CP and PHR certification in 2015. She is dedicated to growing within the industry and helping others love the field of HR as much as she does.
Leia has two spirited children ages 11 and 6 and in her spare time enjoys Zumba, traveling and reading.

Kelly McLaughlin, SHRM-SCP
Kelly McLaughlin is currently a Senior HR Specialist for Florida State University. With over 12 years of experience, Kelly has gained a comprehensive background in human resources including employee and labor relations, benefits, training and development, employee engagement, staffing and recruiting, and compensation.
Kelly has been a National SHRM member since 2015 and obtained her Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification the same year. Kelly currently serves as the 2019 Director at Large for College Relations and has been a member of Big Bend SHRM since 2017. In addition, she has served on various committees, including HR Tallahassee and the SHRM Foundation.

Suzanne Hudson, MBA, SHRM-CP, PHR
Suzanne Hudson has over 13 years of Human Resource experience. Suzanne was previously employed at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare where she held several positions over a period of ten years. While at TMH she held the positions of Administrative Assistant to the Chief HR Officer, Nurse Recruiter, Academic Liaison, and Compensation Analyst. In the Academic Liaison position, Suzanne served on the Lively Health Education Advisory Board where she served as Chair for one year. As of March 2014, she has been employed at the Institute for Intergovernmental Research where she oversees the HR function as Director of Human Resources.
Suzanne received a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from King College in Bristol, Tennessee, and completed an MBA with an HR concentration from Saint Leo University in June 2016. She earned her Professional in Human Resources certification in January 2009 and received the Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification in 2015. Suzanne has served Big Bend SHRM on various committees and in several leadership roles. Her participation as an active member prepared her to serve as the 2018 Chapter President.
